JZMK International has designed the master plan for the new "Mohammad Bin Rashid City" (MBR) in central Dubai, U.A.E. Following a presentation of the conceptual stage, His Highness Shaikh Mohammad Bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the U.A.E., and Ruler of Dubai made the announcement public last week. Steep slopes and height restrictions presented a challenge to JZMK designers working on this Austin, TX Multi-Family Project. Additionally, all designs had to accommodate the preservation of existing trees and boulders. Sitting along a high bluff and surrounded by more than 24,000 acres of lush nature preserve, The Hilside blends natural elements with modern character to uniquely establish itself as Urban Hill Coungry. Nestled comfortably into the Texas Hill Country of west Austin, wth decks overlooking the distant downtown skyline, The Hilside brings an urban edge to luxury home and condominium living. Spanning 51 acres, the 101 homes in The Hillside range between 1,312 and 2,395 swquare feet, with roof finishes a combination of seam metal and composition shingle. The Hillside boasts a community pool and cabana area completely finished with local limestone.
JZMK Partners helped Extreme Makeover and Brookfield Homes Hawaii construct the largest structure in the show's history when they erected a new center to house the Family Learning Center. The dilapidated community center was bulldozed, and a new meeting space created, with a new plantation-style home built right next door for the Akana family.
